Yesterday, we had some chalk artists stop by church to leave some cheer and encouragement on the sidewalk! As I sat in my office for a few minutes after they finished, I watched some people walk by, stop, look, smile and keep going, some even took a couple pictures.
What a great way to share some hope, encouragement and joy in the midst of a challenging time.
It has been a gift to hear from various folks throughout the church sharing that they received a note from someone else in the mail, phone calls are being made, texts are being sent, prayers are being said, some are even making masks to share! How are you continuing to encourage one another in these days as we continue to remain socially distant and safe? How might you be able to share some joy, hope or reminder that God is with us in these days? It doesn’t have to be big and extravagant, we only need to be willing to listen to the nudge of the Holy Spirit to be willing to send the text, note or make the phone call just to say hello and see how the person is doing. These little ways go a long way in sharing God’s love!
Here are just a few of the pictures.
I did share on Facebook these pictures, and asked if anyone wanted to guess who the artists were…as of today, no one has guessed correctly! so you can still guess! AND, after this weekends rain, it’ll most likely be washed away and we’ll have a new slate for someone else to show up and share words of God’s love and hope for the world to see as they walk or drive by! Let me know if you’re interested!
Peace be with you today and always,
