Psalm 100: A Psalm of thanksgiving.
Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth.
Worship the Lord with gladness;
come into his presence with singing.
Know that the Lord is God.
It is he that made us, and we are his;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his courts with praise.
Give thanks to him, bless his name.
For the Lord is good;
his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness to all generations.
It’s Thanksgiving. A day in which many of us will be welcoming friends and family, coming together. Maybe to watch the parade, some football, play some games, laugh and of course enjoy some delicious food around the table.
Thanksgiving is a day in which we often share what we are thankful for. A day when we are intentionally mindful of God’s generosity and faithfulness.
Today, what do you find yourself thankful for? What are you giving thanks to God for today?
Whether you find yourself eating a beautiful spread of the traditional thanksgiving meal, or a simple plate of left overs; whether you are at home, church, work, the hospital, traveling or a restaurant, I pray that you will experience a sliver of God’s presence and abundant faithfulness in your life.
Regardless if you are the one setting the table and welcoming, or being the one welcomed, as you spend the day (all or part of it) with friends, family and neighbor may you all have a happy and blessed day of giving thanks to God!
Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving to you all,
